Celtic Fusion Fabrics Giveaway

Gwen at Celtic Fusion Fabrics is having a brilliant Kokka giveaway.  As you can see from the picture she has some gorgeous new Kokka fabrics in and she is giving away 8 fat quarters.  You just need to leave a comment on the Celtic Fusion Fabrics blog before Friday 10th December.   Good luck (although I don’t know why I’m saying that when I’d quite like to win myself…)!

Sew Me Happy Innovation

Over at Sew Me Happy Sarah has introduced a Coming Soon category. It’s very useful but I wish she wouldn’t put more temptation in my way…  I see that we have some gorgeous Monaluna fabrics, and some really pretty Kate Spain fabrics, amongst others, in store for us over the coming months.  This is a really useful feature and something I’d love to see on other online shops too.

Gone to Earth on Amy Butler’s Style Stitches

I think it’s brilliant that loads of UK fabric sellers are also enthusiastic bloggers.  I always enjoy reading the useful articles and tutorials, as well as the fabric news that they share.   Julia at the fantastic Gone to Earth has written a really useful review of designer Amy Butler’s new book Style Stitches – 12 Easy Ways to 26 Wonderful Bags.  If you’ve been dithering about this one I think Julia’s review will help you make your decision (and it will probably be – yep, I’ll buy it!).

Prints to Polkadots Customer Research

In their very commendable aim to get lots of feedback on the fabrics that they are stocking, Prints to Polkadots are offering a chance to win a £15 voucher to spend in their store, if you take the time to give your feedback on some fabrics they are thinking about stocking.  Pop round to their blog to find out what you need to do.

Anna Maria Horner at Seamstar

Happy days for Anna Maria Horner fans – Seamstar now have the Innocent Crush Complete Cotton collection in stock and it’s looking absolutely gorgeous.  There are good value bundles and Courtney is also trialling a  new Price Match facility – there’s a post on the Seamstar blog explaining all the excitement and offers.  There are some fabulous prints in this collection – I particularly like the Bubble Burst pattern (see right).

Today’s Christmas Craft

Miniature Felt Wreaths

I’ve seen lots of ideas for wreaths out there – many of them incredibly complicated (but oh so beautiful).  However, simple can be fabulous too, and I love these colourful wreaths, which I found on a lovely blog called Bella Dia. I have lots of tiny bits of wool felt and it would be so fantastic to use some of them up.  Bella Dia is a smashing blog that I look at regularly – the writer has loads of great tutorials, even a ‘how to write a tutorial’ tutorial.  Very useful!
